This week we are finishing up different odds and ends around our room. The kids are definitely feeling more and more excited about the SIX days off for Thanksgiving.
Before leaving for break, I always try to review important concepts and not really introduce anything new, for fear that they won't remember. For the past two days, we have really been hard at work on reviewing elapsed time. Every year, this concept seems to one of the more difficult ones for students to understand. So far, I have introduced it to my students two different ways, both the number line and the T-Chart. After playing a game in math involving elapsed time, I am hoping the kiddos have a better understanding over elapsed time! We even related our time practices to my Thanksgiving "to-do's" and my personal life! They absolutely loved that!
